Peninsula
Australian Shepherd Association (PASA) put on a Tracking Dog (TD) and
Tracking Dog Excellent (TDX) Test at Fort
ORD, Salinas, CA. The
judges were Judy Strom and Anne Hershey.
Sue Rush was Test Secretary and Chief
Tracklayer.
Tracklayers were Susan Roberts, Lora Cox, Linda Knowles, Linda Wang,
Janet Massolo, Stephanie Wilson, Derede Arthur, Marc Rush, Warene
Waters, Mona Nichols and Dee Hutton.
We
had a very successful tracking test! The weather was gorgeous
and
the site was spectacularly beautiful.
All 5 TD dogs passed:
Jan Murphy's Quick (Border Collie),
Francis Keay's Fizbin (Rottweiler), Donna Highstreet's
Rubi
(Aussie), Kamrin MacKnight's Take (Shiba Inu), Kamrin MacKnight's Sumi
(Japanese Kai Ken)
None of the TDX dogs passed but hopefully we will have some repeat
entrants for next year's test and more from the new TD passes.
Thanks to all tracklayers and cross tracks layers and to Mona
Nichols and Warene Waters for providing hospitality and Margaret
Guthrie for
transporting everyone around!
All help was greatly appreciated!
Many thanks to Anne Hershey, who gave up running her own Aussies to
judge the test, and to Judy Strom for flying in from Montana to judge
for us. I thought they both did an exceptional job plotting
interesting, fun and challenging tracks!
By the way the site was incredible....
